On Saturday, January 9, 2021, an online workshop was held which was attended by stakeholders, alumni and the academic community of the Pharmacy Study Program, Faculty of Medicine- Hang Tuah University Surabaya (FK-UHT). Stakeholders who attended came from various fields, namely the fields of organization, industry, clinical, community and government. The workshop was opened by the Head of the Pharmacy Study Program FK-UHT, apt. Ana Khusnul Faizah, S.Farm., M.Farm..Klin. In this activity, sharing and discussion sessions were held between stakeholders, alumni and the academic community aimed at obtaining suggestions and input in the preparation of Graduate Learning Outcomes (CPL). This is one of the steps of the Pharmacy Study Program to reconstruct a curriculum that can meet the competency standards of the Bachelor of Pharmacy and market needs.
The competency standard for pharmacy education graduates contains the main competencies that characterize the pharmacy study program, namely the ability to supply drugs (pharmaceutical preparations) that meet quality aspects (safe, effective, stable); and capabilities in pharmaceutical services that focus on the safety and efficacy of drug use. The undergraduate pharmacy education curriculum is structured based on competency elements in graduate competency standards. The main focus of the undergraduate pharmacy education curriculum lies in mastering knowledge and skills as well as fulfilling professional ethics. With the reconstruction of the curriculum, it is hoped that the Pharmacy Study Program FK-UHT can produce Pharmacy graduates who are competent, well-behaved, uphold professional ethics and are able to compete globally.
